Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress from the United States. She began her television and film career at the age of thirteen with Camp Nowhere, and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). At age 19 she ascended to prominence as the lead actress of Dark Angel (2000–2002), for the which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Honey (2003) was her big screen debut. She was a well-known Hollywood actress quickly and appeared in numerous hits such as Fantastic Four (2005). Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Good Luck Chuck (2007). The Eye (2008). Valentine's Day (2010). Little Fockers (2010). Mechanic. Resurrection (2016). Jessica Marie Alba was born to Mark David Alba and Catherine Louisa Jensen in Pomona, California on April 28th 1981. Her mother is of Danish and Welsh heritage, and has German, English, French, German, English, French, and German roots. Her paternal grandparents, who were both born in California, are Mexican immigrants. Joshua is her older brother. Her third cousin, once removed, is writer Gustavo Arellano. The father of her Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before returning to Claremont, California, when she was just nine years old. Alba spoke of her family's conservative nature as a traditional, Catholic and Latin American family. However Alba reveals her liberal views since she's declared herself a feminist from when she was five years old.
